Sizing & Customisation

From compact 6 × 4 ft tool stores up to 20 × 10 ft workshop/man-cave sizes, with a standard side-wall height of 6 ft and ridge height of 8 ft. Bigger and smaller available to order, get in touch!

Delivery & Access

Yes — we hand-deliver to all 32 counties ourselves.
Delivery cost depends on the distance from our warehouse in Cashel, and is automatically calculated on checkout. In general, anything within 80km from our warehouse will be delivered for free. In between 80 and 120km it’s 50 euro, and anything further than 120km is 100 euro.
Lead times for standard sheds are typically a few weeks from order; bespoke and larger units take longer.
No. Our team and vehicles are not insured to bring panels through the inside of a home. You will need a side entrance or outdoor access route wide enough for our flat panels.
As a rule of thumb, if you can comfortably carry a 6 ft ironing board, table or door panel through your side gate, our panels will go through. If you’re unsure, send us a photo and a measurement through facebook (insert link) or whatsapp (insert link) and we’ll confirm before you order.
No. We don’t use a crane and we don’t lift over walls – it’s unsafe for the panels and for our team.
For very small sheds we can sometimes work with reduced panel sizes; for larger units we genuinely cannot get it in. Talk to us as early as possible and we’ll be straight with you about what’s possible.
Yes — someone over 18 should be at home to confirm placement and sign off.

Base Preparation

A solid, level base the same size as the shed. Acceptable bases are:
– A concrete slab approximately 100 mm thick on compacted hardcore with a damp-proof membrane,
– 600 × 600 mm paving slabs, tightly butted, on a level sub-base,
– Concrete blocks (for wooden sheds — we recommend raising timber sheds slightly off the ground to prevent rot).
You do — the base must be ready before we arrive. If it isn’t level or isn’t big enough, we may not be able to install on the day.
No — keep it the same footprint as the shed (or marginally smaller). A base that’s wider than the shed creates a ledge that bounces rain back onto the timber.
We can discuss blocks or adjustments, but the area must still finish level. A poorly levelled shed will warp, leak and stick on the doors.

Assembly & Installation

Yes — every shed is assembled and installed on your site at no extra cost. It’s included in the price.
Most standard sheds go up in roughly 2–4 hours. Larger workshops and chalets take longer.
Erecting the panels, fitting the roof and felt (or steel sheeting), hanging doors and windows, and squaring everything off on the base.

Planning Permission (Republic of Ireland)

In most cases no, provided:
– The total floor area of all sheds/outbuildings on your property is 25 m² or less,
– The shed is no taller than 3 m with a flat/pent roof, or 4 m with a tiled/slated pitched roof,
– At least 25 m² of private open space remains in your back garden after the shed is built,
– The shed is behind the front building line of your house,
– It is not used as living accommodation or for keeping pigs, ponies, horses or pigeons.

Different rules apply — always check with the council first.
The Government announced on 21 April 2026 that it plans to raise the exemption from 25 m² to 30 m², but Citizens Information confirms “These changes have not started yet. The draft regulations still need to be published, reviewed and formally approved before they come into effect.” Until those regulations are signed into law, the 25 m² limit still applies — plan your order on that basis and we’ll update this answer the moment the law changes.

Maintenance & Care

A well-maintained pressure-treated wooden shed should give 15–25 years of service. Steel sheds, kept dry and ventilated, last longer still.
Pressure-treated timber doesn’t require annual treatment, but applying an oil-based preservative every 2–3 years (or annually in coastal/exposed areas) will significantly extend the life of the shed and keep it looking well.
Check it twice a year for tears or lifted edges, especially after winter storms. Clear off leaves, moss and overhanging branches. Felt is the part of a wooden shed that usually wears first.
Galvanised box-profile steel roofs cost more upfront but can outlast multiple felt replacements, particularly on larger sheds and chalets.
Mostly caused by an inadequate base — make sure there’s a damp-proof membrane under the slab. Ventilation and a small amount of roof insulation eliminate most condensation issues.
Yes — wait a few weeks for the timber to settle, then use a good-quality exterior wood stain or microporous preservative.
